About
We are seeking motivated Order Pickers to join our expanding logistics operations in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified products from warehouse shelves using order pick lists and scanning technology. Precision and speed are key to meeting our service level agreements. You'll work in a dynamic warehouse setting, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. A strong focus on safety is essential, and all team members are required to follow established safety protocols and wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting, so good physical condition is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order tickets and pick lists.
- Use scanning devices to confirm picked items and quantities.
- Locate products efficiently within the warehouse.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to team efforts and meet performance targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including safety vests and footwear.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive work attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
