Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Distribution Center Associate to join our facility in Detroit, Michigan. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the smooth and efficient functioning of our distribution network. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of warehouse activities, including receiving and inspecting incoming goods, accurate order picking and packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch. You will be part of a dedicated team, working collaboratively to meet operational targets and ensure customer satisfaction. A strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and accuracy is paramount. This position is ideal for individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, and possess a robust work ethic. Previous experience in a distribution center or logistics environment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.
  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures.
  • Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and staging.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality control checks on products and orders.
  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stocktaking.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting. Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds consistently. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods is required. Proficiency with warehouse equipment and a strong understanding of logistics operations are essential. A deep commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is non-negotiable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
