This role is fundamental to our success, involving the precise selection of products to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse, locate items, and ensure their accuracy before they are prepared for shipment. Safety is our top priority; all necessary PPE will be provided and its use is mandatory. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Previous experience with order picking or RF scanning equipment is a plus. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Expect regular lifting of items up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Select products from warehouse locations based on customer orders and pick lists.
- Verify item accuracy and quantities before moving to packing.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to track picked items.
- Stage orders correctly for packing and shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned picking areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE consistently.
- Meet daily picking quotas and accuracy targets.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or product issues immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Participate in team huddles and safety training sessions.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including receiving and put-away.
- Ensure all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the overall logistics process.
- Support a positive and productive warehouse culture.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy through diligent picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in order picking or warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets accurately.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and adhere to all safety regulations.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 30 lbs.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics is helpful.
