About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our operations in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of inventory and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be expected to perform pre-operation inspections on equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area, and adhere to all logistics and safety regulations. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and excellent situational awareness are key. We emphasize a culture of safety, and all team members are required to use appropriate PPE and follow strict safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various warehouse locations.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Follow all logistics and operational guidelines.
- Ensure proper lifting and material handling techniques are used by yourself and observed in others.
- Participate in warehouse team activities and contribute to overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
