We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their correct orders accurately and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from shelves based on customer orders, verifying product codes and quantities, and preparing items for shipment. This position involves a significant amount of physical activity, including walking, bending, and reaching. Attention to safety protocols and proper lifting techniques are paramount. We provide comprehensive training on all equipment and procedures, including the use of handheld scanners and order management systems. Your contribution is vital to the smooth operation of our distribution center and the satisfaction of our clientele. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using an RF scanner or pick sheet.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
