Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity in Sacramento, California, for a motivated Material Handler. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing materials for distribution, utilizing various equipment to ensure timely handling. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors safely and efficiently.
  • Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments according to orders.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
  • Perform physical tasks including significant Lifting and moving of materials, often exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational excellence.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and inventory documents.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Commitment to Safety and adherence to all Safety regulations.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must wear required PPE at all times.
