Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend services and systems supporting live and social features.
Lead technical initiatives by driving system design discussions and influencing architecture.
Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers, fostering growth and collaboration.
Act as a technical leader within projects, coordinating with product, design, and frontend partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Champion best practices in scalability, performance, security, and code quality.
Partner with DevOps/SRE teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and incident response.
Contribute to a strong culture of engineering excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional backend development experience, with significant contributions to large-scale, cloud-based platforms.
Proven technical leadership experience, including leading projects, influencing system architecture, and mentoring engineers.
Expertise in C#/.NET and strong production experience with AWS (or other major cloud platforms).
Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL such as MongoDB).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
Understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale.
Ability to drive system design discussions and make sound architectural decisions.
Familiarity with C++ and/or distributed frameworks like Microsoft Orleans is a plus.
