Overview
Acorn is looking for a passionate Junior Product Designer to join us in a period of exciting growth and digital transformation, helping us transform customer journeys in the insurance market. Working as a Junior Product Designer at Acorn you will be part of a cross-functional squad, honing your skills on the end-to-end design process as part of a growing Product Design team which will offer support for your development. You will work with product managers, business analysts, engineers and various other stakeholders to explore and solve customer problems and design challenges using simple and impactful solutions. 37.5 Hour per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 DOE
What you will be doing
Design and prototype simple, low friction digital experiences Work on all stages of the design process from concept to launch Create UI assets and collaborate towards a robust design system that works across brands Solve customer problems with a focus on the best experience while balancing business goals Conduct user research and user testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience Test multiple designs to iterate to the right solution Work autonomously as the sole designer of a squad, having the Product Design team as support on every step
What we are looking for
1+ years experience designing digital products. Experience in Insurtech or regulated industries would be a plus A portfolio demonstrating your design process and decision making, including at least one end-to-end project Demonstrated good understanding of user-centered design principles Ability to present design ideas effectively Some knowledge of design systems Experience working with Figma Strong commitment to doing what is right for the customer and the company Eagerness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement
