Overview We are looking for a Frontend Developer with Angular and TypeScript. This role is part of the talented development team in our vehicle telematics business, Radius Telematics. Telematics is a big growth area for the business, so there will be plenty of opportunity to keep your skills up to date and progress your career.
You will balance technical excellence with pragmatic execution, ensuring our product evolves while meeting today’s challenges. We embrace an Agile way of working, with grit, ownership, and a willingness to step beyond conventional roles.
Specifically, you will develop the front end components for a complex SaaS Telematics product using modern microservice backends on AWS and automated CI/CD pipelines released onto Terraform-provisioned infrastructure. There will be opportunities to learn and to influence the team and platform. In-person collaboration is important, and you will need to work from our telematics head office in Crewe, Cheshire for a minimum of 3 days per week. Onsite facilities include café, barista counter, pizzeria, rooftop bar and multiple breakout areas.
Your Responsibilities Day To Day
Working on a customer facing, fully responsive high traffic web application using Angular and TypeScript
Designing and developing new features
Maintaining and improving the existing application
Create mock-ups and prototypes
Collaborate with back-end developers to shape our APIs
Roll up your sleeves and take the initiative to tackle critical challenges during high-stakes situations
What we expect of you
Strong previous technical experience in frontend software development using Angular and TypeScript
Experience in using modern software development tools and platforms
Knowledge of deploying code into AWS
Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
Passion for innovation and continuous learning
Experience working in an Agile software development team
Actively contribute to Agile events, inspect and adapt ways of working, and provide solutions to keep development on track
