You’ll be a confident, competent mid weight Back-End PHP developer, with all the passion and hunger expected from an innovative and creative developer. We’re looking for someone who has the ability to get creative, someone who’s not afraid to experiment, offer up ideas and be as keen to make them work. If you like the task of architecturing great functioning code – the sort of stuff that makes things easier than they often look – you’ll be the sort of person that gets huge satisfaction from working as a team towards a common goal, making it all come to life – and being tasked with adding and amending as the product evolves and develops – then this could be one of the most satisfying and desirable jobs in the area right now.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain PHP back‑end services and APIs.
Collaborate with the front‑end team to integrate APIs with MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Cake, or CodeIgniter.
Write clean, documented, and reusable object‑oriented PHP code.
Handle database design, query optimization, and performance tuning using SQL.
Assist with deployment, configuration and scaling using Nginx or Apache and Microservices architecture.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate testing.
Requirements
Proficient in PHP, SQL, OOP, HTML and CSS.
Experience with Laravel or an alternative MVC framework (Cake, CodeIgniter, etc.).
Knowledge of front‑end frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React (not mandatory).
Familiarity with ES6/7, API development and integration.
Experience with Nginx or Apache web servers.
Understanding of Microservices and distributed system concepts.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building quality software.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
We would like to see you in post for a mid to late February start if at all possible, so don’t delay in applying as we’ll be looking to hire right away which means interviews will start as soon as we find you.
