We are excited to announce immediate full-time positions for experienced Mechanical or Product Design Engineers to join our dynamic and successful team. Whether you bring experience in medical development or are seeking an opportunity to apply your design skills to medical products that transform lives, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will directly contribute to a diverse range of device developments, including drug delivery devices, diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical devices. You will provide professional Mechanical Engineering design expertise on multiple projects, from concept generation and engineering analysis to detailed design and formal verification. Your customer-facing responsibilities will include ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while building lasting partnerships with both existing and new customers. Based in our Leith office, this role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your career through an exciting mix of projects within a supportive and collaborative working environment. About you
You will have strong technical and problem-solving skills and be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline with industry experience in a suitable design or engineering discipline. Your expertise should include demonstrable in-depth knowledge of mass-production techniques and a comprehensive understanding of the product development cycle. While experience in a consultancy environment and the development of medical devices is advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome all candidates with relevant experience and skills, and we provide training as needed. You will be equally comfortable working alone with minimum supervision or as part of a wider project team. At all times bringing your own powerful creative input, always pushing the boundaries with fresh ideas and technical solutions. Ideal Requirements / Skills
Proven, demonstratable experience in engineering problem solving and detail design Solid understanding of engineering principles Experience in design of injection moulded high-volume products Experience in the design of electro-mechanical products adhering to standards such as ISO 60601 Mechanism design expertise Creation, tolerancing and documentation of 2D Drawings Proven materials knowledge and materials selection 3D CAD software expertise Use of Finite Element Analysis Software Excellent presentation & communication skills Knowledge of the full product design life cycle Medical Device or Drug Delivery Development expertise Self-starting with a can-do attitude, proven ability to work individually or in a team with little guidance Professional awareness and appreciation of client focus Benefits
