Construction Estimator

Job Overview

Greython Construction is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Construction Management and bring a minimum of five (5) years of professional estimating experience. This role is responsible for independently developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects valued between $10 and $50 million.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all project phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine scope, required labor, equipment, and materials.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure scope alignment.
• Develop quantity take-offs, pricing, and bid summaries using estimating software and industry-standard methodologies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify scope and resolve design conflicts.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and potential project risks.
• Maintain historical cost data and assist in continuous improvement of estimating processes.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and interviews as required.
• Ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and submitted within deadline requirements

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of proven estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate projects up to $50 million in value.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and market pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of subcontractor trades and market conditions.

Pay: $110, $130,000.00 per year
