ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

A multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced
Environmental Engineer or Hydrogeologist
to support investigation and remediation projects across Michigan. This role involves working closely with clients and regulatory agencies to design and implement solutions for contaminated sites while navigating complex environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and project constraints to develop effective technical solutions.
  • Prepare work plans, Data Quality Objectives, and sampling/analysis plans.
  • Plan and coordinate field activities for site investigations.
  • Design and interpret investigations of soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, indoor air, and sediment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates.
  • Design and oversee implementation of ex-situ and in-situ remediation systems.
  • Develop vapor intrusion mitigation strategies.
  • Manage performance monitoring and operation and maintenance activities.
  • Produce technical reports, specifications, proposals, and client communications.
  • Ensure safe execution of all project activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related discipline.
  • Experience in environmental investigation and remediation.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven project management and client communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork.
