Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Technologist, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures across diverse specialties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operating rooms are equipped, sterile, and ready for safe patient care. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth surgical workflows, uphold infection control standards, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will contribute to positive surgical outcomes and enhance patient safety in a variety of clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment according to surgical protocols.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and managing surgical tools with precision.
  • Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment throughout surgeries.
  • Monitor vital signs and physiological responses of patients during procedures, providing critical data to the surgical team.
  • Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or other EHR platforms.
  • Support infection control practices by adhering to hospital policies and sterilization procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to anticipate needs during surgery and assist effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control protocols, and sterilization processes.
  • Is a plus if hands-on OR experience with suturing - but not required, instrument handling, and sterilization, assisting in Plastic Surgery procedures
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to surgery.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • Is a plus if able to demonstrate analysis skills for assessing patient needs quickly and accurately during complex procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
