Who We Are

Broken Loop Brewing Co. is a new, independently owned brewery and taproom that just opened in Colonie. We're building something thoughtful: great beer, a streamlined counter-service food program, and a space that invites people to break routine and take the detour.

We're hiring a seasoned bartender to be the backbone of our front-of-house. We're looking for someone comfortable in a fast paced bar setting that cares about providing a great customer experience and is easy to work with.

This is a tipped role, not a management position, but we are looking for someone who wants to be a consistent presence behind the bar and take pride in keeping things running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Bartend with speed, consistency, and great hospitality
• Set the tone for each shift with professionalism and positive energy
• Train and support new bartenders
• Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
• Maintain product knowledge across all our beers, cocktails, wine, and NA options
• Help with basic prep (batching cocktails, stocking, glassware upkeep, etc.)
• Communicate with ownership about any issues, needs, or opportunities
• Uphold service standards and ensure guests have an exceptional experience
• Close 2+ times per week

This role is ideal for someone who likes being the anchor behind the bar, takes pride in their craft, and wants to help shape a new brewery from the ground up.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years bartending experience (brewery/taproom experience is a plus)
• Weekend availability
• Comfort working high-volume shifts
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Reliability—showing up ready to work every shift
• Ability to lift kegs, move cases, and be on your feet for long periods
• Interest in craft beer and willingness to learn our products deeply
• A team-first mindset
• Clean, organized working style
