About The Role
As a Lead Google Cloud Architect, you'll make an impact by shaping the future of our cloud ecosystem through designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing GCP solutions that power business growth. You'll lead modernization efforts, streamline migrations, and enable teams to deliver faster, smarter, and more resilient digital experiences. Your work will directly influence innovation, cost optimization, and operational excellence across the organization. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Engagement Delivery Lead.

In this role, you will

• Define and drive the GCP cloud strategy and roadmap to align with key business goals.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient GCP architectures that enhance performance and reliability.
• Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions to virtual machines and cloud-native environments.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams on GCP best practices and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, data, development) to design and integrate optimized cloud solutions.
• Ensure all solutions meet compliance and security standards through proactive architecture design.
• Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating modern design patterns.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, ensuring consistency and clarity across teams.
• Optimize cost efficiency and resource utilization within the GCP environment.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, GA. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform.
