Parkview Health provides comprehensive pharmacy services to a range of specialty health care facilities, assisted living communities, and rehabilitation centers. Our care benefits a variety of consumers and patient types from children and senior citizens to those who may be developmentally or intellectually disabled, chemically dependent, or in rehabilitation.

We are growing and currently seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our afternoon tech team The shift will 10am - 6pm M-F with rotating Saturdays. 

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Perform duties to prepare and dispense prescription medications and supplies under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, in a fast-paced Long Term Care Pharmacy where attention to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficiency are critical to patient safety and care, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform job assignments in full compliance and complete understanding of the State and Federal laws and internal policies and procedures governing the handling, dispensing and distribution of medications dispensed by Parkview Health Services.

· Ensure patient's order is satisfied to completion by reviewing patient profile in pharmacy system.

· Prepare, label, and dispense medications under Pharmacist supervision.

· Support Pharmacist in keeping accurate inventory levels. Sort and stock inventory of medications, vials, and dispensing supplies and return excess stock or unused medications to inventory.

· Responsible for prioritizing and navigating the print pharmacy system's print queue. Print medication labels and check for inventory balance on medications in the pharmacy ordering system.

· Complete adherence pack corrections and provide basic support of the adherence packing machine as needed.

· Maintain clean and safe work environment.

· Assist logistics team with the packaging and shipping of medications and supplies as required, to maintain workflow and commitments to customers.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES:

· Consistent focus and attention to detail resulting in superior accuracy.

· Demonstrated organizational skills.

· Demonstrated ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 30 lbs.) in compliance with safe handling procedures.

· Proficient computer skills and ability to easily navigate through pharmacy system and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) applications.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently on assigned tasks or in a team setting while focused on detail, accuracy, and productivity.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma and additional specialized training as a Pharmacy Technician.

· Minimum of one year's experience working as a Pharmacy Technician strongly preferred.
