Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative menus. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, managing food quality, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food service and hospitality within our establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Develop and plan menus that align with the restaurant's concept, including special event menus and catering options
  • Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation meet established standards
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and maintaining proper stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills and promote teamwork
  • Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff shifts to meet operational needs
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Oversee dietary department requirements, accommodating special dietary needs and restrictions
  • Monitor food handling procedures to uphold health standards and safety protocols
  • Manage catering operations for events, banquets, and special functions

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining, catering, or banquet settings
  • Proven supervising experience with team management capabilities
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and food service management
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and cost optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations in the food industry
  • Experience in kitchen management, including shift supervision and kitchen operations oversight
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food quality and presentation
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for effective team coordination and customer interaction
