Freelance Developer & Designer (Remote)

Overview

Momentum Digital is looking for a skilled Freelance Developer & Designer to create functional, visually appealing websites. If you have experience with both design and development, we'd love to collaborate with you

This part-time role is paid hourly and can lead to a full-time position if you are willing to prove yourself and grow with the company.

Momentum is a fully-remote agency. We have 50+ team members across the world. We are looking to hire someone with 5+ years experience and living in North or South America (similar time zone)

Clientele = Small local businesses (mostly service based companies)

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop responsive websites for agency clients
  • Ensure site functionality, performance, and cross-browser/device compatibility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including plugins, functionality, and integrations
  • Web Management, Web Security, Web Development
  • Help Optimize websites for on-page SEO and technical SEO
  • Maintain, update, and support ongoing website improvements
  • Serve as Web Master for expertise regarding all website issues
  • Help manage Hosting, DNS, Security, Plugins, etc
  • Communicate with team members and clients

Platforms:

  • WordPress (mostly)
  • Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, etc.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, WooCommerce, Odoo and more
  • Experience with front-end design AND back-end development
  • Strong design skills with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Knowledge of SEO, web accessibility, and site optimization best practices
  • Backend development experience , PHP, etc.)
  • Experience with DNS, domains, hosting, c-panel, security features, and email
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and integrating third-party tools
  • Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Wordpress web development, creating Wordpress website, rebuilding new WP sites, installing WP themes and plugins
  • Various Wordpress Management and Development skills
  • Knowledge of API integrations and working with third-party services
  • Familiarity with content delivery networks (CDNs) for performance optimization
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other monitoring tools
