Position Summary
The Dry Cure & Packaging Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the dry cure, and packaging departments to ensure all cannabis products meet Verdes' quality, compliance, and production standards. This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate data tracking, and a clean, compliant environment. The Supervisor will train, lead, and support team members to achieve production goals while maintaining product integrity and adherence to all state regulations and company SOPs.
Core Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
- Directly supervise dry cure and packaging staff, providing daily direction, support, and performance feedback.
- Schedule and coordinate labor to meet production goals while optimizing efficiency.
- Partner with the Director of Cultivation and Quality team to uphold Verdes Standard operating procedures.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and accountability.
Dry & Cure Operations
- Oversee dry curing processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with product specifications.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions in dry curing room; log and verify all data.
- Train employees on proper product handling and storage to maintain terpene profile and cannabinoid integrity.
- Work with the Quality and Cultivation teams to coordinate product transfers and readiness for packaging.
Packaging Operations
- Supervise daily packaging operations, ensuring all SKUs are filled, labeled, and tracked accurately.
- Maintain packaging inventory and communicate supply needs proactively.
- Ensure all packaging activities align with compliance and labeling requirements per NM Cannabis Control Division.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
Compliance, Safety, & Quality
- Ensure full compliance with all NM state cannabis regulations and internal Verdes SOPs.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records in BioTrack.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure traceability and cleanliness.
- Enforce safety protocols, perform regular safety checks, and immediately report incidents or hazards.
Team Development
- Train and mentor employees to promote skill development and cross-training.
- Conduct performance evaluations and participate in corrective actions as needed.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and accountability aligned with Verdes' core values.

Key Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage and develop post-harvest teams.
- Working knowledge of cannabis post-harvest processes including drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and inventory staging.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute production based on demand forecasts, sales velocity, and inventory targets to ensure product availability while minimizing waste, overproduction, and aging inventory.
- Experience coordinating closely with cultivation, manufacturing, quality, and distribution teams to align post-harvest output with business needs.
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, highly regulated production environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to track KPIs such as yield, throughput, labor efficiency, cycle times, and on-time fulfillment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory tracking systems; ability to use data to drive production decisions.
- Solid understanding of quality control, sanitation, and compliance standards applicable to cannabis manufacturing and post-harvest operations.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Agriculture, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing, production, agricultural, or cannabis facility; cannabis post-harvest experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing production schedules, labor planning, and workflow optimization in a produce-to-demand or forecast-driven environment.
- Experience with seed-to-sale software (e.g., METRC) and inventory management systems; ability to maintain accurate, compliant records.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory requirements, including state cannabis regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Ability to lead teams through change, prioritize competing demands, and meet production deadlines.
- Comfortable working in production environments that may require extended standing, lifting, and flexible scheduling, including occasional weekends or peak production periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve post-harvest processes.
Physical and Emotional Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 8 – 10 hours multiple days in a row
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Must be able to bend/stoop/climb/reach
- Must be able to present complex information to groups of people
- Must be able to be physically present in the wholesale locations and administrative office
- Ability to handle high stress situations, ambiguity and changing priorities
- Must be able to tolerate a reasonable amount of work stress
Compensation
· 50,000+ depending on experience
