We are seeking an energetic and motivated FOH (Front of House) Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing service flow and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate front-of-house staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives.
- Supervise food preparation, service standards, and ensure adherence to food safety protocols and hygiene regulations.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock control, and coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain optimal food supply.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure smooth transition between shifts.
- Support management in budgeting, cost control, and implementing promotional activities to enhance revenue.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with professionalism to uphold the restaurant's reputation.
- Assist in staff interviewing, onboarding new team members, and supporting ongoing training & development efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food handling, food production, and overall food safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in a fast-paced quick service or casual dining restaurant environment with a focus on front-of-house operations.
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise is essential.
- Background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and food management processes effectively.
- Skilled in team management including training & development, interviewing potential staff, and supervising daily activities.
- Familiarity with catering, banquet service, bar operations, or coffee shop environments enhances suitability for this role.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude; ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.
