Launch Industrial Engineering Supervisor

General Assembly Launch Industrial Engineering Supervisor - Support Launch Industrial Engineering Manager in leading a team of Industrial Engineers and Workstation Designers to design workstations which are friendly to operators on the shop floors so that they can produce quality vehicles in the most efficient way. Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve vertical launches for all new programs. Understand production systems and WPI (Work Place Integration) in a comprehensive way. Able to work with Industrial Engineers to do man-assignments and line balancing in a most efficient and effective approach which minimizes station re-arrangements and causes the least disruptions to the existing production systems. Able to work with Station Designers to design, layout, and optimize workstations for General Assembly Shops in preparation for new program launches in a specified assembly plant. Able to work with WPI Team to piece different aspects of a new program launch together to deliver a vertical launch.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• Industrial Engineering Degree or Equivalent Engineering Degree
• Minimum of 4 years Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering Experiences
• Minimum of 2 years General Assembly Launch Experiences
• Good Understanding of Operators Workstation Designs
• Good Understanding of Man Assignments
• Good Understanding of EST (Engineering Standard Time)
• Excellent in Microsoft Office Applications
• Be able to work with people at different levels and different functions
• Excellent Presentation Skills
• Excellent People Skills
• Self Motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master Degree or Advanced Degree is preferred
• MODPTs Certification
• Extensive GA Industrial Engineering Experiences
• Knowledge and Skills in Autocad / TeamCenter / AMPs
• Knowledge and Experience in WPI (Work Place Integration) - an effective launch process
