Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Technician and become a vital contributor to our manufacturing and maintenance operations In this role, you will service, repair, troubleshoot and maintain all the mechanical related components and equipment (mechanical systems, pumps, blowers, valves, centrifuges, rollers, gearboxes, etc.). You must be able to understand technical documents, such as schematics, OEM manuals, P&IDs, job instructions, etc. You must also adhere to the statutory codes that apply to your work. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the continued successful completion of assigned tasks with unplanned equipment downtime, and the completion of preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

  • To install, repair and maintain mechanical systems/assets.
  • To install/remove molds as needed.
  • To perform corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
  • Work individually or as part of a team to complete projects or assigned tasks, successfully and safely.
  • Follow safety procedures and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Correctly interpret technical documents for proper execution of assignments
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis as needed.
  • To maintain a safety oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining, installing and troubleshooting mechanical systems/assets (pumps, blowers, valves, centrifuges, rollers, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, etc.).
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting and usage of technical documentation and schematics.
  • Experience utilizing impact/power tools, wrenches, and other related tools.
    • Able to operate the following vehicles: forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
