Triple Point Security is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Cyber Security Engineer experience to join our dynamic team at Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities:

The Triple Point Team provides cybersecurity advisory and technical services for its clients, and this individual will serve as a primary contributor for their respective subject areas:

  • Play a lead role in identifying areas of cyber risk to provide oversight, analysis, and risk-informed recommendations for enhancement,
  • Plan and direct operational activities which include threat monitoring and analysis, incident response, vulnerability management with identity and access management systems,
  • Support activities including the development of policy, standards, and procedures relating to cybersecurity governance & policy, privacy, risk management and compliance, and technical information security documentation adhering to NIST and industry standards,
  • Communicate and present security operations data to senior leadership,
  • Review and provide recommendations for security architecture and configuration of IAM systems,
  • Provide technical assessments of cybersecurity and controls design and effectiveness, and
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats and potential implications to the firm.

Required Skills and Experience:

Candidates must possess demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas to be considered for the position:

  • 5+ years of experience leading and delivering in security operations programs for comparably sized federal agencies and security programs,
  • 5+ years in managing complex federal vulnerability management programs,
  • 5+ years of security design and management of IAM systems,
  • 5+ years of consistently evaluating and assessing risks associated with web applications, operating systems, and complex networking architectures,
  • 5+ years in analyzing and providing clear and concise risk reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to federal risk executives, system operators, and system stakeholders,
  • Experience conducting technical evaluations of AWS and GCP environments based on NIST SP and Zero Trust Architecture,
  • Experience maintaining Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and providing input on corrective action plans for vulnerability remediation,
  • In-depth knowledge of Security Assessment and Authorization in alignment with the NIST Risk Management Framework,
  • Ability to architect, deploy, manage, and monitor cloud instances,
  • Ability to work with collateral engineers, analysts, and managers on related programs,
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to co-workers and senior leadership, and
  • Proven ability to be organized and detail-oriented, self-motivated, and engage in independent decision making.

Education and Certification:

Bachelor's degree is required in Cybersecurity, Management, Business, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or other Information Technology discipline (relevant years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements)

Preferred/Highly Desired:

  • Experience with commercial and federal cloud service providers
  • Experience in system development and the managing of interconnections
  • Any of the following certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100, $120,000.00 per year
