Barre Instructor

Carmel Country Club is seeking an energetic, motivating, and knowledgeable Barre Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate is passionate about movement, thrives in a group fitness environment, and can deliver high-quality, safe, and engaging barre classes that inspire clients of all fitness levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach dynamic barre classes that blend ballet-inspired movement, Pilates, strength training, and flexibility work.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for clients of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Demonstrate proper form and technique, offering modifications and progressions to ensure safety and individualized support.
• Lead upbeat, music-driven sessions, maintaining high energy and strong communication throughout class.
• Prepare class formats and choreography aligned with studio guidelines and client needs.
• Build relationships with members, fostering community and encouraging client retention.
• Ensuring cleanliness and readiness of the studio.

 Qualifications

• Certification in barre, group fitness, Pilates, dance, or related field.
• Prior experience teaching group fitness or dance preferred.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Excellent verbal cueing skills and an ability to motivate diverse groups.
• Professional, reliable, and punctual with a commitment to client experience.
• Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).

 Work Schedule

• Part-time opportunity available.
• Flexibility to teach mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Competitive class-rate compensation, with opportunities for private sessions and special events.

Team members are required to work evenings, holidays and weekends on a consistent basis.

Our team works together to find a way to accommodate member requests as long as the outcome is safe, legal, and courteous. Sometimes the hardest part of this is meeting the last requirement: courteousness. If the request will disrupt other members or negatively impact your team members, then we need to find a creative solution to offer the member.
