About
The Human Resources Supervisor at Forsman Farms is responsible for overseeing human resources operations during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and fostering a positive work environment. This role serves as a key liaison between plant management, employees, and HR leadership to support staffing, employee relations, and workforce development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary HR contact for site employees and supervisors. Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance review processes, support supervisors in coaching employees, and facilitate the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with shift supervisors and department managers to coordinate staffing levels and scheduling. Coordinate recruitment efforts for site positions, conduct interviews, and manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, employment laws, and workplace safety standards. Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Attendance & Leave Management: Monitor employee attendance, manage leave requests, and maintain accurate records in compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training sessions, and support employee development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and engagement.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and maintain HR reports related to headcount, turnover, employee relations, and other key metrics for site leadership.
- Workforce Engagement: Promote employee engagement programs and activities to foster a positive and productive work environment that create a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement among plant staff.
- Safety: Participate in incident investigations, including workplace injuries or safety violations, and assist with reporting and follow-up.
- Employee Communication: Communicate HR policies, updates, and initiatives to employees on the shift; provide guidance on benefits, payroll, and workplace practices. Assist in the implementation of employee development programs and recognition initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous HR experience in manufacturing, food processing, or similar industrial environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, workplace safety, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.
