We are seeking a skilled Product and Process Engineer with a strong background in ISO 9001 quality management systems to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of our products and manufacturing processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring that products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. Identifying specifications and special instructions from customers and ensuring they align with our Company's Capabilities, Quality systems, and EH&S standards. Duties will also include part maintenance and configuration of methods in the ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Process Engineering:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with production, sales and quality.
- Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for product and process issues.
- Review and engage in the order process to add technical support to the Sales team.
Develop, maintain, and improve costing models for parts. Model should include but not limited to:
Operations rate
- Machine rates
- Labor hours
- Machine hours
Input to determine margin amounts and percentages
Maintenance and training for the ERP system.
- Conduct product cost analysis and determine any part number consolidation, material consolidations or obsolescence.
- Review assemblies to determine manufacturing or quality revisions and suggest improvements.
- Assist on various engineering projects and any other task assigned to continuously improve the company.
ISO 9001 Compliance & Quality Systems:
- Ensure all processes comply with ISO 9001: 2015 standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits, prepare audit documentation, and drive closure of non-conformities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 principles, including PDCA, risk-based thinking, and customer focus.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Train and support cross-functional teams on ISO 9001 requirements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in CAD software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards.

- Working Conditions:
- Office and production floor environment.
- Occasional travel may be required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders numerous times during shift
- Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per day
- Capable of lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear all required PPE
- Ability to travel to other locations
