Position Overview

The Behavior Technician (BT) works directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans. The BT plays a critical role in helping clients develop functional skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and achieve meaningful progress in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans as designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Provide 1:1 behavioral intervention services in home, clinic, or community settings
  • Collect accurate and timely data on client progress and behavior
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence‑based strategies to support skill acquisition
  • Assist with behavior reduction programs using ethical and compassionate approaches
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with supervisors and caregivers
  • Attend required training, supervision sessions, and team meetings
  • Follow all company policies, ethical standards, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, ABA, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs preferred
  • RBT credential preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations as needed
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet state and funding source requirements
