Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations while helping deliver an outstanding guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that works alongside the team during service, ensuring food quality, speed, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in supervising staff, maintaining operational standards, and creating a positive work environment.
Compensation
- $32,000–$35,000 annual salary, based on experience
- Plus tips
- Plus performance-based bonuses
- Expected to average approximately 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Support daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Take customer orders and assist with food preparation during service
- Ensure orders are accurate, timely, and meet company quality standards
- Monitor ticket flow and maintain cleanliness and organization
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and positively
- Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and presentation
Food Preparation & Safety
- Assist with daily prep, including corndog preparation
- Ensure food is prepared according to company recipes and procedures
- Follow and enforce all food safety and health department standards
Team Leadership
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members
- Supervise staff during assigned shifts and provide guidance and support
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
Scheduling & Shift Coverage
- Assist with staff scheduling
- Provide shift coverage as needed
- Support opening and closing procedures
Inventory & Administrative Support
- Assist with inventory counts and stock monitoring
- Help place supply orders and communicate with vendors as directed
- Track receipts and assist with basic administrative tasks
- Communicate operational updates to management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or fast-casual restaurant management preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on customer service
