About
We are seeking a skilled and experienced linehaul truck driver to join our transportation team. As a CDL truck driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to designated destinations. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers and contributing to our company's reputation for reliability and customer service.
Schedule:
- (2) Part-Time positions available
- Regional route, 600 miles daily
- Must have experience driving in winter/snow conditions
- Must be OK driving in winter/snow conditions

- 1st Position: Monday, Wednesday, Friday/Saturday
- Home daily Monday & Wednesday (afternoon/night shift, typically around 1pm-1am)
- Friday night layover, home Saturday night typically around 5pm
- This is a contractor position (1099)

- Home daily

Responsibilities
- Transport mail and consumer products over land to and from shipping/manufacturing facilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance (including post-trip and pre-trip)
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel and delivery receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, including back up safely in tight spaces
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to provide updates on delivery status and address issues/delays
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Maintain a clean and organized truck
- Follow company policies and procedures related to driver safety, performance, and conduct
Skills
- Proven work experience as a safe, reliable truck driver
- Minimum of 1 year CDL experience
- Linehaul experience preferred
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD, etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules, regulations and maintenance
- No recent moving or driving violations/accidents within the past 2 years
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid Class A truck driving license
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic/routine commercial truck maintenance and preventative maintenance
