About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is central to our logistics and material flow within the warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and staged efficiently and safely. You will operate various equipment and play a key role in maintaining a smooth supply chain. If you have experience operating machinery and a commitment to safety, this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stage materials for production or shipping according to schedules.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and storage of materials.
- Ensure that all materials are stored in designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control measures, such as cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role operating warehouse machinery.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain forklift certification if needed.
- Strong understanding of material handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of workplace safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
