As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including staff management, inventory control, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and oversee stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce all Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a Safety-first culture.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics process.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback and performance reviews.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in good working order.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure proper use and availability of PPE for all staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Ability to handle complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as moderate Lifting when necessary.
- Commitment to ensuring the correct use of PPE by all team members.
Physical Demands:
While primarily a supervisory role, the Warehouse Supervisor must be able to occasionally perform tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, and moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs). The emphasis is on oversight, but physical presence and occasional involvement in warehouse activities may be required. Adherence to Safety protocols and the use of PPE are expected at all times.
