We are hiring an Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial for our logistics department, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning equipment and adhering to strict Safety guidelines. A commitment to accuracy and efficiency is essential. We provide a supportive team atmosphere and the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working experience. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from shelves based on order lists and scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items carefully for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for outgoing logistics.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all Safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse roles is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
