About
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Material Handler to join our logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting goods to and from various departments, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace Safety. You will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain optimal workflow and ensure the integrity of our supply chain. Proper Lifting techniques and adherence to safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified).
- Verify the contents of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, including correct Lifting practices.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to supervision.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks. Forklift certification is a plus.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Familiarity with basic inventory management concepts.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Awareness of logistics flow and operational needs.
