We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management. Your key responsibilities will involve managing staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This leadership role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a thorough understanding of logistics and warehouse management best practices. You will be responsible for implementing operational strategies, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies, including the correct use of PPE. Your leadership will be crucial to our supply chain's success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety best practices.
- Optimize space utilization and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Prepare performance reports and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience with WMS and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
