Join our team as an Order Picker in Chicago, Illinois, and play a key role in our efficient logistics operations. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will navigate the warehouse using order sheets or electronic scanners, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are picked. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong physical stamina is necessary, as this position involves considerable standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 pounds. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to our warehouse team. Your efficiency directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using order lists or electronic scanning devices.
- Locate products in the warehouse and ensure correct item and quantity selection.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Stage orders for shipping, ensuring they are ready for timely dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse roles is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Proficiency with scanning technology is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent stamina and physical ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
