Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge in Austin, Texas? We are seeking a skilled individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse and contributes significantly to our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials, maintaining equipment, and adhering to all company safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Ensure that all product is handled with care to prevent damage.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
