About
As the Product Data Administrator, you will compile engineering specifications, production requirements, and configuration options into structured, accurate BOMs within the ERP system to support purchasing, production planning, inventory accuracy, and build quality.
*Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role *
A. *Develops, maintains, and controls accurate Bills of Materials to support manufacturing and production execution: 100% *
1. Creates and maintains detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for vehicles, assemblies, subassemblies, and components in accordance with engineering specifications and production requirements to ensure accurate material planning and build execution.
2. Reviews BOMs for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, ensuring correct part numbers, quantities, units of measure, and revision levels to prevent production errors and rework.
3. Manages BOM revisions and change control, ensuring updates are documented, approved, and communicated to impacted teams to maintain alignment and version control across functions.
4. Partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Production teams to validate BOM content and resolve discrepancies, enabling efficient cross functional collaboration.
5. Builds BOM work flows in alignment with production routings and work instructions to support smooth manufacturing flow and operational efficiency.
6. Supports new product introductions, vehicle variants, and custom configurations by creating and updating BOM structures, enabling timely launches and customization without disrupting production schedules.
7. Supports inventory accuracy, material planning, and cost control by ensuring BOM integrity, contributing to reliable forecasting and financial performance.
8. Responds to BOM-related questions and issues from Purchasing, Production, and Operations in a timely manner to minimize delays and support decision-making.
9. Identifies opportunities to improve BOM processes, documentation standards, and data accuracy to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
10. Maintains confidentiality of engineering, product, and company information at all times to protect intellectual property and uphold company trust.

*Position Requirements: *
A. Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
B. *Experience: *3+ years of BOM creation, manufacturing documentation, or engineering support experience preferred; experience in automotive or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
C. *Certification(s): *N/A.
D. Functional Skills: Strong understanding of Bills of Materials, part structures, and revision control; ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; strong attention to detail and data accuracy; excellent organizational and documentation skills; ability to manage multiple revisions and priorities.
E. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience working with engineering drawings and document control systems; ability to learn new systems and tools.
F. Language Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills required to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and finance teams.

· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines.

*Environmental Conditions & Travel: *
· The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise.
· The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while in production areas
· This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling
· Travel: Limited; less than 5%
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
