About
We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our client's expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in structural steelwork design and project management.
Responsibilities
Design and manage structural steelwork projects, ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and software.
Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to coordinate project information and resolve queries.
Maintain adherence to design budgets and company QA procedures.
Attend project meetings and report directly to the Head of Design.
Support the training and development of graduate design engineers.
Foster strong relationships with clients to achieve excellent feedback and satisfaction.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and principles.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural steelwork design.
Degree in a relevant field, ideally working towards incorporated or chartered status.
Proficient in structural steelwork member design, connection design, and familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, and Master series design software.
Experience in designing temporary works is a plus.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
