About
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, organizing, and preparing materials for distribution. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of operations and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. You will work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and management to achieve departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Unpack, sort, and stage materials for storage or further processing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- May involve some Lifting of boxes and materials up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving repetitive motion. Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to lifting guidelines.
