About
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and distribution center. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be instrumental in ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be, supporting the overall logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety guidelines and proper procedures.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all protocols for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Certification for forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of logistics principles and warehouse management.
