We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Efficiency and Safety are paramount in this position, as you will play a key part in the smooth operation of our logistics department. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts and possess a valid certification. You will be expected to inspect equipment before use, perform routine maintenance checks, and ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, moving goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. The ability to follow instructions precisely and communicate effectively with team members is essential. We prioritize a safe work environment and require all operators to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position may involve occasional heavy Lifting, so physical fitness is necessary. Your expertise in material handling will be a valuable asset to our logistics team. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
