Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy distribution center in Chicago, Illinois. This critical role ensures the efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store inventory. A strong emphasis on Safety, precision, and productivity is expected. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage locations.
  • Transport goods efficiently and accurately to designated areas.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on all equipment, documenting any issues.
  • Follow all established warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines diligently.
  • Ensure the correct use of PPE at all times while operating equipment.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks, including put-away and replenishment.
  • Minimize product damage during transport and handling, considering the challenges of Lifting heavy items.
  • Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the logistics network.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to prevent hazards.

Qualifications:
Must have a current, valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices is mandatory. Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic logistics environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Understanding of the importance of PPE.
