We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of goods. You will be instrumental in ensuring that materials are correctly received, stored, and prepared for distribution. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment responsibly.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking.
- Ensure all workspace areas are kept clean and organized, prioritizing Safety.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to Safety and the use of PPE.
- Perform regular Lifting of materials, up to 50 lbs.
- Respond promptly to requests for material movement within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining the overall flow of goods within the logistics operation.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse capacity is preferred. Must be able to handle physical demands, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and the importance of PPE is crucial. A commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a logistics setting. Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (forklift certification is a plus). Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
