We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. This includes loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory to ensure seamless warehouse operations and effective logistics . Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment responsibly.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse, including storage, production, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange inventory neatly and securely to optimize space and accessibility.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and work areas.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist in receiving, stocking, and cycle counting inventory.
- Verify the contents of shipments against documentation for accuracy.
- Perform other warehouse duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including repetitive motion and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and logistics principles.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Dedicated to maintaining a high level of workplace safety .
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
