About the Role We are partnering with a specialist Data Consultancy that is seeking an experienced Senior Data Business Analyst to join their team. This role will play a key part in delivering end‑to‑end data solutions, from gathering business requirements to validating data ingestion processes and ensuring data quality. The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and can take high‑level requests, build effective solutions, and deliver results without the need for micromanagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has just secured £50 million in investment and are working on a huge utilities project of national importance. This consultancy is building an elite team of data professionals, already outpacing competitors in the data consultancy space.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
Take ownership of ambiguous requests, develop structured solutions, and deliver results independently.
Define and validate data ingestion processes, data quality rules, and overall data integrity.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that data platforms meet business needs.
Identify gaps in data structures and recommend improvements.
Document requirements and processes as needed, balancing documentation needs with project priorities.
Ensure data governance best practices are followed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst, ideally in a consultancy or data‑driven environment.
Strong experience with data platforms, ingestion processes, and data validation.
Expertise in data quality rules and working with property data is highly desirable.
Ability to work autonomously, take ambiguous business needs, and convert them into structured solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly.
Experience with SQL, data modelling, and BI/reporting tools is beneficial.
