PCB Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities Due to increased project commitments and anticipated growth, we are seeking either a full time or contract PCB design engineer to support our ongoing development initiatives in our European operations. This position is a part of a key project requirement and will be based in our Edinburgh office.
You will play a critical role in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design, development, and validation of mixed signal or power converter PCBs for our ground station and terminal products for satellite communication applications across L-Band to Ka-Band.
The varied and challenging role involves hands‑on design, system integration, performance optimisation and verification to ensure project deliverables meet technical, quality and schedule targets.
You will work closely with our RF, digital, mechanical and test engineering teams to deliver high‑performance PCB solutions that meet customer and project requirements, supporting both prototype and production phases.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Design and layout of multi‑layer PCBs using Altium
Design of mixed‑signal and/or power converter PCBs
Production of manufacture data‑packs
Knowledge of RF layout is a plus
Familiarity with laboratory test and measurement using spectrum analysers, VNAs, signal generators, digital oscilloscopes and power meters
A degree in electronics, telecommunication or systems engineering is desirable
