Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities In this role, you will lead the design and assurance of secure system architectures across complex, mission‑critical environments. You will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure security is embedded from concept through delivery, balancing risk, usability, and business outcomes. You will be trusted to shape strategy, guide decision‑making, and help teams deliver solutions that are resilient, compliant, and future‑proof.
You will also contribute to the growth of CGI’s security capability, sharing expertise, mentoring colleagues, and helping to strengthen a collaborative community where high standards and innovation are encouraged and supported.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead & Assure: Define and assure secure architectures aligned to business and regulatory needs
Design & Embed: Integrate security principles across systems, platforms, and programmes
Advise & Influence: Provide trusted guidance to senior clients and delivery leadership
Assess & Mitigate: Identify architectural risks and develop pragmatic mitigation strategies
Collaborate & Grow: Support teams, share best practice, and contribute to capability development
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role You will be an accomplished security architect with recognised chartered status, bringing deep expertise in secure system architecture and a proven ability to apply security by design across complex environments. You should be confident operating at strategic and architectural levels, with a collaborative mindset and a focus on delivering meaningful outcomes.
Essential qualifications and experience
UK Cyber Security Council Chartered Security Architect status
Chartership specialism in Secure System Architecture & Design
Extensive experience designing and assuring secure architectures
Strong understanding of security principles across complex, multi‑layered systems
Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and provide trusted security advice
