Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Associate to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment across our retail locations. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to security incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or criminal investigation is highly valued. The Loss Prevention Associate will utilize surveillance tools and report writing skills to document incidents accurately and support the overall safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor store premises using CCTV and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities or theft
  • Conduct criminal investigations related to theft, fraud, or policy violations
  • Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies as needed during incident resolution
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements
  • Engage in conflict management by de-escalating potentially volatile situations with professionalism and tact
  • Write detailed reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken for record-keeping and legal purposes
  • Patrol the store regularly to ensure compliance with safety protocols and prevent unauthorized access
  • Assist in training staff on loss prevention policies and security procedures

Skills

  • Strong background in law enforcement, security, or criminal investigation preferred
  • Proficiency with surveillance systems such as CCTV and other monitoring tools
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and best practices
  • Effective conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and respond appropriately under pressure
  • Strong observational skills combined with integrity and professionalism
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with team members, law enforcement, and management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
