Location: North Branch, MI

Pay: $17.50 per hour or more depending on experience

Shift: Day Shift

Opportunity for overtime available

Summary: The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting with managing and directing retail store operations. This includes but is not limited to, managing promotional merchandising programs, tracking and managing inventory, assisting with managing and training personnel and ensuring that customer service is met with a professional, courteous and timely manner to all our customers, along with other day to day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, development, and implementation of effective sales and marketing programs for the retail store
• effectively implement merchandise promotions and sales strategies
• Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of retail store functions
• Assist in supervision of sales personnel, ensuring optimal performance
• Establish and maintaining good business relations with customers and professional contacts
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of one or more years of experience in a supervisory position or related retail sales position
• Knowledge of the lumber/hardware industry is a plus
• Familiarity with retail sales, merchandising programs and procedures
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong public relations and people skills
• Excellent sales abilities and customer service
• Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up-to 10lbs. frequently and/or up to 50lbs. occasionally
• Indoor and Outdoor Customer Assistance in inclement weather at times
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
